This week marks the start of the Frankfurt Motor show. Held every two years in rotation with the Paris Motor Show, this occasion is pivotal for car manufacturers to showcase their newest additions. The event is organized by the IAA, and is a huge occasion for the media, motor traders, and car enthusiasts.
The doors open to the press on the 15th September and to traders on 17th September, before hundreds of thousands of guests pour in until the 27th September.
There has been plenty of hype surrounding several débutante vehicles being unveiled in Germany. The natives, Mercedes and BMW have been very busy; Bentley, Rolls Royce, Maserati and Jaguar have broadened their horizons; and we will see several established models with face-lifts.

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia saloon, on sale in mid-2016 aiming straight for the BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE and 2016 Audi A4
A4 (5th Generation)

The Peugeot 308 R Hybrid gets 493bhp and 538lb ft of torque from its petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, which sees the 267bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine from the Peugeot RCZ R coupe mated to two electric motors. Combined, the car has a 0-62mph sprint time of 4.0 seconds, but emits just 70g/km of CO2.
With a 30kWh lithium-ion battery which powers motors on both the front and rear axles for a combined output of 168bhp, Peugeot says the Fractal has a range of up to 280 miles
